Founded before most of Chesterfield County’s suburban development, Bexley is much admired for retaining its quiet, original character, unspoiled natural woodlands, and fine, architecturally distinctive homes. Safe, tree lined streets invite strolling, jogging, and biking. A beautiful lake for canoeing and fishing is surrounded by a wooded play ground and picnic area. This peaceful community is surprisingly close to important highways, shopping, Chesterfield schools, churches, and amenities. The heart of Richmond’s business and cultural center is only 15 minutes away, and Richmond International Airport can be reached easily within 20 minutes. With easy access to both the Powhite Tollway and Chippenham Parkway, your commute is sure to be a breeze, and the stresses of your day will disappear once you enter the tranquil wooded streets of Home, in Bexley.
HOA Closing Packages
Homeowners Association Closing Packages for Buyers and Sellers
What are they?
These packages are provided by Homeowner Associations for sellers to give to their purchasers at contract time. They are mandated by disclosure law (Virginia Code 55-508, 509, and 528) depending on original declarations, mandatory or voluntary dues, and/or association responsibilities. The Bexley Association, comprised of Bexley Cosmopolitan, Bexley East, and Bexley (original) makes Homeowner Closing Packages available to all sellers. They contain valuable information regarding community activities, newsletters, association bylaws, budget and balance sheets, maps, and minutes of monthly board meetings. Since all lots are subject to covenants, restrictions, and design standards, these also are included. Buyers have come to expect and value Homeowner Closing Packages in communities with common areas, covenants, and an active Association.
Bexley home sellers or their real estate agents may obtain a Homeowners Association (HOA) Closing Package by contacting Maureen Olmsted via email: When ordering a closing package, please provide the following information:
*Buyer name(s) and contact information
*Closing attorney name and contact information
*Closing date
When a closing package is ordered, our Architectural Coordinating Committee (ACC) will perform a walk-around inspection of the property being sold. A copy of the inspection report will be included in the closing package.
The package fee for voluntary and mandatory HOA membership sections (Bexley Original, Bexley Cosmopolitan and Bexley East) is $100 and is paid to “The Bexley Association” at closing.
