Closing Packages

Homesellers or their agents may obtain a Bexley HomeownerÕs Closing Package by contacting Darrell Wilkerson (674-6010) The package fee ($75) is paid at closing. Sellers are to provide the name and contact information of the Closing Attorney.

HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION CLOSING PACKAGES

What are they?
These packages are provided by Homeowner Associations for sellers to give to their purchasers at contract time. They are mandated by disclosure law (Virginia Code 55-508, 509, and 528) depending on original declarations, mandatory dues, and/or association responsibilities. The Bexley Association, comprised of Bexley Cosmopolitan, Bexley East, and Bexley (original) makes Homeowner Closing Packages available to all sellers. They contain valuable information regarding community activities, newsletters, association bylaws, budget and balance sheets, maps, and minutes of monthly board meetings. Since all lots are subject to covenants, restrictions, and design standards, these also are included. Buyers have come to expect and value Homeowner Closing Packages in communities with common areas, covenants, and an active Association.
